OOU on stand still as lecturers begin an indefinite strike over failure of the state government to fulfil its promises regarding the MoU it signed in December 2015.

This  decision was announced by ASUU OOU chapter at the end of the meeting held at the institution’s permanent campus Ago-Iwoye on Monday.

Our sources  gave us information on the aftermath of the ASUU meeting, that it can be deduced that OOU is not on strike but as the words of the chairman of ASUU, Com.  DEJI AGBOOLA, all programmes in the institution is on hold till further notice.

Com. Deji Agboola added that the governtment has failed in its responsibilty to honour the ratio of contributions by government in salary payment.
