Justin Bieber and Jaden smith thrill the New York crowd once again

Justin Bieber surprised fans at New York’s Madison Square Garden by bringing on stage Jaden Smith six years after they shook the same stage together as teens.

The “Sorry” star performed his second sold-out show at the famed arena on Tuesday night (19 July 16), and to help celebrate the end of the North American leg of his Purpose World Tour, Bieber decided to have a full-circle moment with one of his closest friends.

In August, 2010, Smith joined Bieber on the Madison Square Garden stage, a venue which marked the biggest show of his career to date. Will Smith’s son (Jaden) rapped his part in Bieber’s Never Say Never track, and the performance was captured on camera for the pop star’s first concert film, also titled Never Say Never.

And six years later, Bieber, 22, brought Smith, 18, back on stage to perform the same song, much to the delight of screaming fans.

Following the concert, Bieber posted a sweet shot of himself hugging his longtime friend on stage, writing, “Love you brother man.” Smith shared the same photo, and reciprocated the sentiment by adding, “I Love You Big Bro Thank You.”

In addition to Smith, Bieber also invited rapper Travis Scott to join him on stage for a surprise performance of No Sense, from Bieber’s Purpose album.

Throughout this leg of his tour, Bieber has been giving fans even more to cheer about with unexpected cameos. In April (16), his mentor Usher showed up at Bieber’s concert in Atlanta, Georgia. The two sang the R&B singer’s U Got It Bad, which Bieber did a cover of on YouTube when he was first discovered by manager Scooter Braun and Usher years ago.

Bieber has a few weeks off before bringing the Purpose World Tour to Japan for two dates next month (Aug16), then he is slated to kick off his European leg in Iceland in September (16).
